About Us

Cayman Inspiration is a support group established for all persons with or those caring for someone with auto-immune disorders and diseases living in the Cayman Islands. Members include a representation of several disorders including, Fibromyalgia, Diabetes, Alzheimer’s, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Parkinson’s, and Multiple Sclerosis. The group was established to provide support through resource information and shared experiences of group members.

The Group is comprised of volunteer members who all have an auto-immune disease and are “inspired” to prove that people who are often labeled as “disabled” can be very “able” in many things they do in life.

Inspirational Quotes from Our Members:

“One goal of mine personally, was to inspire others to see that just because I have an Auto-Immune disorder, I still have a normal life.  It doesn’t have to label me, own me, become me.  I am still who I am, I am still the same person I was before the doctors discovered this disorder.  I still have all my hopes, dreams, ambitions, family and my career.  I will set out to live life to the fullest even though I have an Auto-Immune disorder.  I will educate myself about this disorder. I will learn how to manage it, and then carry on with my life while managing it with God’s abiding grace.  I will take away what it has taught me, learn from it, and share with others the blessings that have come from it.  For example – I have a much healthier diet! I also prioritize my time much better.  I have Multiple Sclerosis, commonly known as MS….but you see….it doesn’t have me!”  – Renee Howell, founding member, Cayman Inspiration.
